It’s certainly been a long time since Guild Wars 2 was announced, and like many of you, I’m extremely anxious to start playing it. Unfortunately we still don’t have a hard release date and it’s pure speculation on when the game is actually going to be released. If you go to the official Guild Wars 2 site (guildwars2.com) their FAQ simply says the game will be released “when it’s finished”. I’ve been reading around on forums and most people seem to think we won’t have the game out until 2012.

I’ll be buying Guild Wars 2 the day it comes out and will be devoting most of my spare time to playing it. I can’t promise that I will write a Guild Wars 2 guide myself due to the immense time it would take to put together a thorough guide. But even if I don’t write a guide myself, I’ll be reading every guide that is ever released for the game (free and paid) and will make sure I list up the best guide on the homepage of this website.

The Guild Wars 2 is a very great game to play. With fie professions to choose from, players will enjoy playing the game while strategicly prepairing themselves for PvP and PvE.

The unique setting of the game is in Tyria. The land that was devasted by the ugly evil dragon, Zhaitan. Quests can be done to have better armors and skills that can help you defeat the other races. Defeating other races can give you the experience on battling that will allow you to have a greater chance of killing the dragons.

With 3D rendering, players will enjoy playing Guild Wars 2. Also, skills that are unique to each profession will be a difference maker on Guild vs Guild action. Skills and equipment will also be available upon acquiring the required fixed level for usage. Players will not lose precious time grinding away the experience for day because of the low level cap of 80.

There are 5 professions in Guild Wars 2 that you can use for your gaming experience. The Elementalist, Ranger, Warrior, Necromancer and the guardian.

The Elementalist are spell casting characters that uses elements to inflict damage and to survive. Fire, water and lightning are the elements that they can use. These elements has specific uses for them.

The Rangers are the masters of long range combats. Using their ranged weapons to snipe and kill their prey from a distance. The ranger’s armors and defense are usually not that great.

The Warriors brute strength is one of their greatest ally. They can clobber enemies with no regard of themselves. They have great defense.

The Necromancers cast dark spells that can leave an enemy in disarray. They can summon  the dead using it for their disposal.

And lastly, the gurdians. The guardians are the tankers in Guild Wars 2. They have the most awesome defense. Damaging their armors will be a great task for an opponent.

The Five Races in Guild Wars 2 you can choose from before playing the game.

Asura – they are the incredibly bright humanoid creatures that lives in Tyria. They are the masters of alchemy and magic. Centuries have passed that no one has ever seen an Asura above the lands of Tyria

Charr – they are the master of the element of fire. To honor their god and goddesses, they must fulfill their destinies and utilize the power of flame that they have been bestowed with.

Human – are the most smartest race in Tyria giving them the edge on combat.

Norn – the 9-foot warriors that live in the far east. They use the spirit of nature with their battles. They have also the ability to change shape specifically to a bear.

Sylvari – the slick and observing race. Ever since the war has started in Tyria, these botanical humanoids are concelled within the battle.

As the dragons underneath the continent that lies over Tyria woke up, the land suffered devastating wars and destruction resulting to a non-safe place to live in. Battles are fought over centuries to ensure every kingdom’s freedom from the savage dragon Zhaitan. Famine are also battled because of the tragedy to the live stocks of Tyria’s land.

Urged to defeat the demonic dragon, stables have been built and cities have be reconstructed  to form an alliance and to look for a new leader strong enough to lead the stray and hopeless people of the land. Warriors has gathered around brave enough to form an alliance to kill the the dragon that is causing all the destruction.

The development of Guild Wars 2 started in 2007. The proclamation of Guild Wars 2’s development was very premature given that the new expansion of  Guild Wars, it’s ancestor was only announced by ArenaNet. In the later end of the year, ArenaNet explained to the players that the development of Guild Wars will be stopped giving them the complete focus on Guild Wars 2. ArenaNet’s decision to develop a new game was triggered because of the constraints they had with Guild Wars.

The development of Guild Wars 2 was abandoned the alpha phase and beta for they had already used it for Guild Wars. With the vast numbers of MMORPGs in the world, they thought that the preferences of the gamers have changed. Beta testing was cancelled due developers urge to make the game better for the maximum output that the gamers desire. Resulting to a prolonged development of Guild Wars 2.

Compared to Guild Wars, there will be less skills in Guild Wars 2. This is o obtain quality than quantity. With less skills, 3D imagery in Guild Wars 2 are more enhanced and optimized. 10 skill slots will be available for a character. Weapon will take up five of it, the others are for healing potions, and for the characters based dependence that includes an elite skill.

There are skills available for each race. Ergo being available for every race, these skills are not as much stronger as a unique skill only available for one race. These skills will be available upon grinding and obtaining experience points for raising your level.

Guild Wars 2 will also has a feature Traits. These are the abilities that a player’s character can obtain when completing a specific quest. It will give a upperhand to others such as increase in attack strength and armors. Traits can be used but cannot be changed during combat. Before going into battle, you should use the correct traits that will help you with your character.

Guild Wars 2 is a Guild War fantasy world from a place called Tyria. It is 250 years after the defeat of the Great Destroyer in the expansion Eye of the North by the players. There are five elder dragons sleeping under the continent that has woken up causing massive damages to the world of Tyria and destroying its nature. Now, the previous dominant people in Tyria are in disarray giving them no hope of survival seeing only disasters and wars. The cities of races have been rebuilt so that they can gather strong men to train and be the warriors to fight back at the conundrum they are facing.

New leaders have been appointed, cultures have been changed. New weapons, armors and innovation in skills have been made. As you train yourself to be the best there is in Tyria, your task is to unite with other players and races to defeat one of the dragons that is Zhaitan.

Guild Wars has the one of a kind character innovation suitable to for a role playing game. ArenaNet, its makers, aims the avoidance of players using up too much time grinding that most MMORPGs game does that are usually accompanied with high-level cap. Guild Wars 2 also has the feature for players that would like to pair up with other higher level characters even if they are much lower than them. This is the side-kick feature that allows the higher level player give its powers to their lower leveled buddies.

With the name itself, Guild Wars 2 will have Guild vs Guild battles that will give the players the chance to come up with strategies to defeat the other team. Teamwork is the main essence on these kinds of battles. If a team does not have any chemistry, they will surely lose.

There will be also a PvP arena that only same-leveled characters can battle. This is good for testing your skills and equipment.

Guild Wars 2 is a new game presented by ArenaNet. You can choose from several professions. It is a PvP based game concentrating with the fighting styles of each gamer’s character like no other. Players can grind their way up to level 80 and search for items that they like to use on their characters. Specific PVP types can unlock skill sets and items that will go along with its respective fixed level requirement.

Guild Wars 2’s system requirements haven’t been released yet due to the fact that the developers are still working on the system that can create a beautiful environment allowing players to have mid-level virtual processors. This consideration took place because of their knowledge that not all players have massive video cards, RAMs and processor on their computers. High requirements can result to players not being able to play the game because they will not reach the optimized performance Guild Wars 2 can attain without the required requirements.
